Exploding Sun
Six time Veer Music Award nominee and winner "Best Rock" in 2021,honorable mention in 2024, Exploding Sun is a guitar driven Alternative Rock trio that employs a number of styles, from hard edged pop and blues rock to melodic indie and even folk. They have been active on the Hampton Roads music scene in southeastern Virginia for over two decades,opened for countless national acts and logged over 1200 successful performances in some of the best venues in the area. They perform classic to current hits with a wide ranging song list that includes everything from Van Morrison and the Stones to U2, SRV, REM, INXS, The Wallflowers, X Ambassadors, Foo Fighters, Lumineers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bodeans and The Black Keys. They like to play what the crowd wants to hear and are happy to customize their format based on the customer's / venue's input. They typically perform in an all cover or mostly cover format, unless specifically contracted for their original music exclusively to support national acts or to headline local showcases. The band will also consider travel for bookings outside of Hampton Roads, to include Williamsburg, Charlottesville, Blacksburg, Richmond, Outerbanks and other parts of NC.
