Carrie Brockwell

Carrie Brockwell is an emerging artist and singer/songwriter from Chesterfield, Virginia. While only 16 years old, she is familiar with the stage having spent her early years performing in many musical theater shows in the Richmond, Virginia area including having the lead role of Annie in the Main Stage production of “Annie” at age 11. In November 2021, Carrie independently released her first EP entitled “Impressions” with all songs written and composed by Carrie. The EP/songs have been well received by industry professionals resulting in some of the songs being picked up and played in national podcasts. In late summer 2021, Carrie began the process of auditioning for American Idol season 20. Her online auditions were successful and as a result Carrie made it through and traveled to Austin, Texas to audition in front of Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. She was included in the opening segment of the premier of the show on February 27, 2022. Carrie received a golden ticket in Austin, Texas and traveled to Hollywood, California in December 2021 to perform in the “Hollywood Week” portion of the competition. Recently, Carrie was selected as a top 15 finalist in the Jose Music Awards Vocal competition which was held in October 2022 at the JMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee. Carrie will also be performing at the JMA Fest. Carrie continues to write and is currently back in the studio recording her next record. Her dream is to one day stand in the “circle” at the Grand Ole Opry and hear the crowd sing her songs back to her!
