The Jason Cale Band brings a fresh, fearless sound they call Swampfunk—a rich blend of soulful blues-rock, gritty New Orleans funk, and jazz fusion, cooked into a musical gumbo that's all their own. Rooted in deep musicality and dripping with groove, their style pays homage to the adventurous spirit of the late '60s and early '70s while forging new ground with heart, soul, and swagger. Hailing from Virginia Beach, Virginia, the band has taken their electrifying live show across the U.S. and internationally—playing venues of all sizes and leading masterclasses and workshops at conservatories and schools around the world. They've shared the stage with artists like Eric Gales, Foghat, and many other national touring acts, earning a reputation for dynamic performances that resonate with audiences of all kinds. Since 2023, The Jason Cale Band has been a proud member of the Virginia Commission for the Arts Touring Roster, furthering their mission to share Swampfunk through both performance and education.
